The tennis program at Gulf Park has grown exponentially since the courts were first built a little over 20 years ago.
Along with Champions Club, owned by Tennis Professional Andy Frost, Gulf Park has developed one of the largest Junior Interclub
programs in Knox County. A certified Tennessee Tennis Welcome Center, adults have searched for and found a home to play competitive tennis.
Throughout the last four years, numerous Gulf Park teams have won local, state and sectional competitions. Tennis has developed into a prime
goal within the vision of the association and as a result, a $30,000 renovation of the tennis courts and grounds was undertaken last spring.
Gulf Park now has four newly resurfaced tennis courts, new nets and ball markers and the promise of more
competitive tennis yet to come.

Tennis instruction at Gulf Park is provided by Champions Club Tennis, 671-ACES. Teaching professional, Andy Frost,
is a former world ranked singles player and UT graduate with over 25 yeasr teaching experience. He has coached
numerous local, state, and sectional team champions, as well as many state and sectional ranked individual players.
This is team play separated by age and skill level. Jr. Interclub tennis begins May 30 and runs through late July,
depending on the match schedules. It consists of one practice and one match per week (not a problem, if you are unavailable some weeks).

This is a fun-filled introduction to the tennis fundamentals. Classes are separated by age group and run 30-45 minutes.
No skill level is necessary for this program.
Note: We are scheduling Cartoon Network two different ways this year. There will be 2 week sessions that are held Monday through Thursday (for 8 classes), and there will be 5 week classes that meet once per week (for 5 classes)
